Dress Me Down

I'm not sure why, but this weekend just felt EXTRA cold. The temperatures were normal mid-30s, but I just felt so much colder than usual...and I'm usually freezing. Just six more cold weeks until the first day of spring! I can't wait for flowers and no coats and picnics and outdoor fun!

It was so cold that I didn't even want to wear a dress. I love my high-waisted jeans and I feel like I'm very limited in what I have to pair them with, but this polka-dot sweater is perfect since it's a little cropped, but still kinda warm. Lately, I've been loving the layered look of a sweater over a collared shirt, so I thought I'd give it a try! I've decided that I need more blouses/collared shirts in my wardrobe.

I feel so boring in the winter. I don't spend a lot of time outside. When I do outfit photos, it's usually just take the photos and then run back to the car! I miss hiking and hanging out at the park and the beach and being able to enjoy the weather. I tend to just throw on jeans, a sweater, and boots everyday when I work. I really only dress up on my days off since I can't stand being cold all day at work. But when it's warm, I always dress up!

  3. I love the sweater! Goodness - and you look cute in pants. I never do. Even in 10 degree weather I wear dresses now! I hate when I feel super cold, lately I have been barely able to function in my apartment (which, I don't wear pants in either. I walk around in shorts still). Your plaid top is super cute with the dots too!

  5. I used to hate high waisted pants until I bought a pair and now I have a hard time wearing anything that hangs below my hips or whatever.
    This outfit is so cute!!!
