Meet Me There In The Blue
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that Groundhog Day is just silly? Maybe that's the point of it? It's just a silly tradition that happens every year that everyone goes along with. I doubt anyone really thinks a little groundhog can predict when winter will end. I'm always hoping for an early end to winter, but I don't have faith in Punxsutawney Phil's predictions. Sorry little guy!
Yesterday there was lemon cake cooling on my counter, I was still in my pyjamas at 3:30 in the afternoon, and Spiderman was on T.V. Today I slept until almost noon. It feels good to relax after the stress of getting in my school applications. It felt good to sleep in this morning and it feels good to not have so much stress weighing down my brain.
Now that I can completely focus on Florida outfits, I'm going to have a lot of fun with it. I bought a pair of vintage high-waisted denim shorts off Etsy a few days and they arrived on Friday. They fit perfectly and I'm super excited! They will definitely be coming with me to Florida. They were only $21.50 with shipping, too!
Speaking of scoring deals, this dress was definitely a steal. I was at Urban Outfitters last weekend and like always, I ended up in the Sale section because their regular-priced stuff is a bit too pricey for me. I found this dress, which was regularly $69 marked down to $39.99. It was a little too big for me when I tried it on (their clothes run so big!), so I was unsure as to whether or not I should spend $40 on something that didn't fit right. I knew all I would need to do is belt it, but still. What if I wanted to wear it beltless?! Anyway...I checked their website on my phone and noticed that it was only $29.99 online. When I got to the register, I asked if they price-match their website. It turns out they do, so I was able to get it for $30. But then! I guess they were having some special where sale items were half off, because when he rang me out, the dress came to $15. So I got a $69 dress for $15. I was a happy girl. There's nothing like getting a pretty new dress for super cheap! So next time you go to Urban Outfitters, make sure you check their website for lower prices!
Don't you just love how pretty the ocean is? We had more fog the day that we took these pictures, and I absolutely loved how everything looked. I wish it was warmer out so we could've sat and enjoyed it for a bit. But alas...it's still winter and even on the warmer days we occasionally get when it's in the 40s or 50s, it's still too cold.
